Your John Edwards Inc Interview Happens on Zoom: How the Process Works and How to Prepare

Did you apply to John Edwards Inc and are wondering what comes next? Here’s the short answer: our hiring process has four clear steps, the interviews happen on Zoom, and most candidates go from application to offer in about two to four days. Below, we walk through exactly how the John Edwards Inc interview process works, who you’ll talk to at each step, and a few virtual interview tips to help you prepare.

The John Edwards Inc Interview Process, Step by Step

  1. Application review. Our team reviews your application.
  2. Initial phone screening. A quick first conversation with one of our recruiters.
  3. Two virtual interviews over Zoom. This is where you meet our team leads, and we really get to know each other.
  4. A leadership discussion. The final step before we extend an offer.

That’s the whole John Edwards Inc hiring process. We don’t extend an offer until you’ve had real conversations with our team, including our leadership. If you first heard from us by email, here’s how to know it’s really us.

Step One: Application Review

Here’s something that surprises people: you don’t need prior sales or marketing experience to apply. We provide all the training you need. We value ambition, a strong work ethic, and a real desire to learn and grow, so lead with those when you apply. Tell us what you’ve done that shows drive, whether it came from school, sports, a job, or a goal you chased on your own.

Step Two: The Phone Screening

Your phone screening is with one of our recruiters, Alicia Emmert or Mercedes Natt. You’ll also see their names on many of our recruiting emails, so if you’ve already been writing back and forth with one of them, you’ll recognize who’s calling. It’s a short first conversation, and it goes best when you treat it as a two-way introduction:

  • Pick a quiet spot with good reception.
  • Have your resume in front of you.
  • Be ready to share why the role caught your attention.
  • Bring one or two questions of your own. It shows you’re serious.

Step Three: Your John Edwards Inc Zoom Interviews

This is the heart of the process. Your John Edwards Inc Zoom interview is with one of our team leads. Several people on our team conduct interviews, including Kyah Mull, Keely Roberts, Cody Fragd, Thomas Campbell, and our President, Sean Sweeney; as team leads do well, we add them to that group as they grow.

Here’s how to prepare for a Zoom interview with us. It’s still a real interview, so get ready the way you would for an in-person one, plus a few extras:

  • Test your setup early. Check your camera, microphone, and internet connection before the interview, and make sure Zoom is updated.
  • Mind your background. A clean, well-lit space keeps the focus on you. Face a window or a lamp instead of sitting with light behind you.
  • Look at the camera. It feels strange at first, but it’s how you make eye contact on video.
  • Dress the part. Dress the way you would for an in-person interview, from head to toe. You never know when you’ll need to stand up.
  • Cut the distractions. Silence your phone, close extra tabs, and let anyone at home know you’re busy.
  • Log in a few minutes early. Being early on Zoom is the same as being early in person.

Most of all, be yourself. We’re looking for driven people who are focused on growth, and that comes through on camera just as clearly as it does across a table.

Step Four: The Leadership Discussion

Before we extend an offer, you’ll have a leadership discussion. It’s your chance to hear directly from our leaders about where the role can take you. We offer entry-level roles in marketing and sales with clear pathways into leadership and management, supported by hands-on training and one-on-one mentorship from day one.

Come with big-picture questions: How does advancement work? What does training look like in the first few weeks? What do the people who grow the fastest have in common? From your application to an offer, the whole process usually wraps up in two to four days.
